Learn to ride with confidence on the road and explore your local area with the Community Cycling programme!

The Community Cycling project is 10-week cycling programme running every Sunday afternoon, 13:00 – 16:00, from Sunday 1st October.

You’ll learn more control skills, games and road awareness in the first few weeks of the course. The last few weeks will be fun rides to places you want to discover by bike, like the Thames Path, Woolwich Town Centre, Eltham Palace, or anywhere else you like (within 3 hours there and back!). You can suggest where to go and the instructors can plan a route for the following week.

The sessions are available to anyone aged 7+, and some bikes are available on a first-come-first-served basis. There are up to 18 spaces available each week – you can sign up by getting in touch with Jasmin Thompson or Tricia Merchant at the Charlton Triangle office before the first week of the training. And best of all, it’s all free!

Dr Bike – 24th September 10:00 – 14:00 at Blaker Court football pitch.

If you’ve got your own bike that you’d like to use for the course, or a bike that needs some TLC, why not bring it along to our Dr Bike on Saturday 24th September? You’ll get your bike checked out by a mechanic, who will make sure your bike is safe to ride. If there’s anything more major that needs doing, the mechanic can tell you what work needs to be done at your nearest bike shop.
