What we do
Charlton Triangle Homes works closely with residents on day-to-day tenancy issues and there are several decision-making groups working in collaboration with staff. Our office is located in the heart of our community, so we are readily accessible to our tenants. A third of the Charlton Triangle board is made up of residents.
In addition to traditional landlord services, Charlton Triangle Homes offer a wide range of additional support through our New Leaf Advice Centre, which is also situated on site. Services include support to find work, training, healthy living advice, counselling, reiki therapy, welfare rights and debt advice.
We have delivered a ten year community regeneration programme with investment of over £1million in Education & Community, Under 5s, 50 Plus group, Young People and Community Safety. Over 28 different partners have so far delivered programmes and activities to 30 different community groups.
In addition, Charlton Triangle Homes support community events and a large summer programme for children and young people. Our community programme works on three basic principles:
- Supporting people to achieve – Working with people and not “on” or “for” them
- Right people to deliver service – Partnership approach to all service delivery
- Protection of limited funds – Client-led activities in demand that we can support
In terms of value for money, we work on a ratio of 1:5 (i.e. for every £1.00 spent, we get £5.00 back in service delivery). The current programme has been expanded to include our New Leaf Advice Centre.
